Stephen Hanford

Owner, Designer, Carpenter
Hanford Cabinet & Woodworking’s founder, Steve Hanford, grew up working alongside his dad in their complete woodworking shop. Steve learned to appreciate the medium of wood from his father, a college trained woodworking instructor. When Steve grew older, he turned to his woodworking roots when it came time to make a life decision. Steve simply opted to purchase an existing cabinet shop instead of pursuing his PhD in Botany. His knowledge and background in wood technology and forestry has proven to be indispensable when it comes to handling the more difficult and unusual jobs. Steve’s talent, both natural and trained, has turned Hanford Cabinet & Woodworking into the reputable Connecticut business it is today. Steve’s functional design philosophy is evident in his great design staff, who work as a team to make your project shine. Steve has been published many times in magazines like Connecticut Magazine and Better Homes & Gardens.
